Is it difficult to install a flowmaster 40 series muffler?

im planning on installing a flowmaster 40 series muffler on my 96 Camaro...i kno pretty much nothing about doing this....will it be difficult and what all will be involved?|||Well, sometimes its easy, sometimes its hard, I dont know if your just doing the muffler or if your doing a whole system, if it is just the muffler, you might get lucky and have it just be a U bolt holding it on, if not, you have to cut off the old one and either U bolt the new one on or weld it on (depending on the diameter of both pipes), if your doing a whol system, plan on making most of your day doing it, exaust bolts and studs are not very friendly, they like to break and strip.

Good luck!|||Yes, if you have no idea now, it will be difficult, if the car has factory muffler you will need to cut the pipes and then to install you can go two routes, 1) you can buy pieces of different size/shapes pipes and lots of clamps from the auto parts store and put everything together into a RIG. 2) you can weld the pipes together into a professional looking job.

Just have it done at a muffler shop, they'll weld everything and align all the pipes properly!
