headers to test pipe and straight out the back. I currently have a flowmaster mufffler, then dual tail pipes. Would it be louder to keep the flowmaster on, or take the muffler off and have just straight pipes out?|||It would be louder and illegal. Straight pipes are loud. What i am saying is no mufflers very loud you could not run it on the street. Glass packs cherry bombs both loud and legal in my state but not all.|||Straight pipe(s) off a header is louder but illegal. Try to find a header muffler. Its a muffler that bolts right to the header then its legal but loud. Then if you want to put a straight pipe(s) to the back put a chrome tip on it for looks or whatever.
Years ago I had a 71 charger with a 383ci big block with a set of Hooker headers %26amp; header mufflers(cherry bombs) %26amp; it sounded great. I miss that car!|||your really not that stupid are u..amuffler makes a car quieter not louder...ding bat
