Do flowmaster mufflers make you car sound better?

i have a 98 eclipse with a stock exhaust. i just want to find a cheap way to make it sound a little louder when idling and i guess stronger as some people say. some say flowmaster muffler are good and not that expensive. what is a good, inexpensive way to do this? thanks!|||^ wrong. you can not make a 4 cylinder sound good. you can change the way it idles but in the end they all sound the same. my boss's 4 banger accord factory mu|||well the bigger the piping on the exhaust the lest constriction hence louder sound, so as long as the flow master exhaust has bigger piping and a less constrictive muffler it will definitely be louder, I personally fabricated my own exhaust and it is just about the same sound level as it would be without any exhaust at all, but of course I would get it registered first, if you haven't done that.|||Flowmasters only make v8's sound good...so no. Get borla if you want an I4 or v6 to sound good. Borla mufflers make civics sound good.
